Adam

Adam is my full-time gardener

He is a very capable gardener and loves no dig for all the life and harvests it enables. He crops his own no dig allotment in Bruton. He also has a vast knowledge of mycology, and is a keen forager, mushroom grower and nature enthusiast. Find him on YouTube and Instagram as myco_ad

Nicola

Nicola is my personal assistant

Nicola is my personal assistant. She manages my diary, the in-person courses and events, and the incoming emails. She turns her steady hand to videoing our monthly tours, as well as many reels and shorts. She is also an excellent cook, and caters for course days and events here when our usual chefs are not available.

Anna

Anna is my editor and website manager

Anna’s knowledge of no dig gardening grows all the time, not least from her own experience. She plays a crucial role in managing and editing the online courses and yearly calendar, and has also edited some of my self-published books. She oversees my website and its chat, organises shipping, and along with Nicola, curates the Future Gardeners Newsletter.

Rachel

Rachel is my social media manager

She supports me across all of my platforms and helps ensure that comments and questions are responded to consistently. She also repurposes and schedules content across all my social media platforms, adapting it as needed. Plus, Rachel also co-ordinates with me to answer all new, non-routine questions posted on my social media.

Julia

Julia packs and ships all our books from Homeacres

Julia is moonlighting with me, her real job is designing and making beautiful jewellery. It’s her jade bracelet I wear – find her on Instagram @joodaboojewellry. I’m grateful for her part-time role with me; she packs our book sales and makes sure they are all sent out efficiently.

Steve

Steve is my website developer

Steve works remotely in North Wales. He designed and implemented much of my website and shop, and is always on hand to make sure it runs smoothly. Steve wasn’t at the photoshoot but provided a photo for us.

This is the 3rd time of buying Charles’ no dig calendar and, as always, I can’t wait for February to start sowing. That’s how good it is! The photos are so inspiring and the information gives you complete confidence to not only give it a go, but succeed! The layout means you’re unlikely to miss anything and I especially value the overview at the back which allows you to go straight to the vegetable you’re interested in and see which months you can sow and how many times during the year you can sow. In this way there is always something ready to plant. There is a wealth of other really useful information besides when to sow. I would highly recommend the calendar for anyone who wants to grow no dig veg on any scale.
